Garden Party By the Sea #tb

#tb to the annual Garden Party by the Sea, at Bonnet Island Estate in New Jersey. A local church hosts a fashion show in this grand estate that Rachel and I loved. It featured dozens of brands, and of coarse, Lilly Pulitzer (AKA the main reason we attended)!

While driving around in the forty degree weather, Rachel and I decided to take a mini road trip up to a Lilly Pulitzer furniture store in Maine. Realizing upon arrival Maine is colder than the blustery NH weather, we zipped our J Crew vests and explored the town of  Kennebunkport. After window shopping we settled into the Lilly store, and I convinced myself that summer would be here soon, so a sleeveless silk shell makes perfect sense. Sadly the weather man disagrees, and my new Lilly will have to remain in hibernation until the warm summer days arrive.

Introduction

There are hundreds of articles advising how to write a first blog post, and somehow I decided to fend for myself and disregard them all. I suppose now I know it can only go up from here,

Basics about me:

My Name is Hana, which is pronounced like Hawaii's capital Honolulu (without the lulu of coarse). I'm sixteen but have the determination and thought process of a thirty six year old. I am a control freak, and planner. I'm a sophomore, and spend about 80% of my days looking at college websites, facts, and stats. Like I said, I'm a planner.

Basics about this blog:

I cant promise this blog will be any good. There will be oxfords, pearls, and of coarse Lilly Pulitzer. My sister and best friend is my model, so whatever the OOTD is, there is a 90% chance she will be the one in it. There will be college planning. There will be baked goods and our favorite family recipes, I can promise all of that. But I cant at all promise that this will be any good, but the only way to succeed is to try.
